Server Rules
By playing on a Command Squad server, you agree to follow these rules and the official Squad Code of Conduct (external link).
Rules are enforced on intent, context, and history. If a rule seems unclear, Rules Explained covers the reasoning behind the ones players ask about most — but this page is the authoritative version. Last reviewed: July 12, 2026.
Rule 0 — Admin Discretion
Any behavior deemed harmful to the health of the server or community may result in administrative action, up to and including permanent bans.
Rule 1 — Respect & Conduct
Hate speech, racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, or targeted harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited.
Includes (but not limited to):
- Slurs or discriminatory language
- Mocking accents or impersonations
- Offensive music, squad names, player names, or tags
Rule 2 — No Cheating or Exploits
Cheats, hacks, or repeated exploit abuse will result in a permanent ban.
Includes:
- Aimbot, wallhack, speedhack
- Lag switching or ISP manipulation
- Known vehicle, emplacement, or map exploits
Rule 3 — No Ghosting / Intel Sharing
Sharing information with the opposing team is prohibited.
Includes:
- Stream sniping
- Ticket count disclosure (accurate or misleading)
- Revealing asset locations
- End-of-round outcome signaling
Rule 4 — No Griefing, Trolling, or Asset Wasting
Any action that intentionally disrupts gameplay or team success is prohibited.
Includes:
- Intentional teamkilling
- Asset wasting
- Sabotaging friendly FOBs, HABs, radios, or vehicles
- Mic or text spam
- Harassment via comms
Rule 5 — Squad Leading & Command
Squad Leaders and Commanders must:
- Have a working microphone
- Communicate in English
- Use the SL kit
- Actively lead and contribute
Rule 6 — Squad Structure & Locking
- Infantry squads may not be locked with fewer than 4 players
- Armor squads may be locked with 2 crewmen (minimum)
- Logi, heli, and non-crewman vehicles may be solo when appropriate
Rule 7 — Vehicles & Asset Usage
- Vehicles are first come, first serve
- Squad names do not reserve vehicles
- No vehicle hoarding or spam claims
Crewman vehicles
All vehicles that require the crewman role to enter require at least 2 crewmen to use.
- Exception: 5-ticket vehicles can be solo'd.
Rule 8 — Helicopter Rules
- New pilots should practice on Jensen's Range first
- Helicopter squads are limited to 4 players
- Helicopters must be flown by the Squad Leader
- Helicopters must prioritize logistics and infantry support when requested; scouting is permitted only when not actively needed for logistics or troop support
- Infantry squads may take a heli if no dedicated heli squad exists
- Heli ramming is prohibited
Rule 9 — Main Camping
Main camping is intent-based, not distance-based.
Prohibited
- Waiting or staging to ambush vehicles exiting or returning to main
- Mining main exits or return routes
Allowed
- Active pursuit that began away from main
- Engagement must stop once a vehicle reaches main protection
Rule 10 — Advertising, Tags & Impersonation
- No unauthorized advertising or clan recruitment
- No impersonating [CMD] members or using similar tags
- Unauthorized tag use may result in kicks until corrected
Seeding Rules
Seeding rules apply until the server is live (admin announcement or 20v20). Learn why seeding matters in the seeding guide.
- Fight over the middle cap only
- No building within 300m of mid
- No emplacements (mortars, TOWs, MGs)
- No default FOB hunting or digging default radios
- Respect seeders — don't drag it out
Jensen's Range Rules
The following applies to Jensen's Training Range layers:
- Adhere to admin direction
- No spawn camping, camping, or griefing helis on the pads (allow players to take off and move vehicles)
- Killing players on your own team is allowed
Please try your best to allow those who wish to train (e.g. practice their heli skills) to do so.
Discord Rules
These rules apply to all Command Squad Discord channels at all times.
- Be respectful. Treat all members with respect. Harassment, bullying, flame-baiting, or dogpiling — public or private — will not be tolerated.
- Keep profiles appropriate. Usernames, nicknames, avatars, and bios must be appropriate and non-offensive. Staff may request changes if necessary.
- No spam or disruptive behavior. Spamming, excessive tagging, message flooding, mic spam, or intentionally disruptive behavior is not allowed.
- Do not DM or @ staff without reason. Do not directly message or mass-mention staff unless explicitly instructed. Use the proper ticket or support channels for issues.
- No self-promotion or advertising. Unapproved promotions, server invites, streams, or advertisements are not allowed.
- Protect privacy. Do not share personal or private information — yours or anyone else's — without consent.
- Zero tolerance for hate or harassment. Hate speech, slurs, threats, or targeted harassment will result in immediate action.
- No political or religious debates. Political and religious topics are not permitted. This is a gaming community, not a debate stage.
- No NSFW or illegal content. Sexual, NSFW, pirated, malicious, or otherwise suspicious content is strictly prohibited.
- Use common sense. Rules are enforced based on intent, context, and history. Attempting to loophole the rules will not end well.
