Membership

Membership is how regulars become part of Command Squad itself — the tag, the voice in the community, and the responsibilities that come with both. It iscompletely optional: you can play on our servers forever without joining anything.

Eligibility

Current requirements to apply:

  • 18 or older. No exceptions.
  • Playtime on Command Squad servers. Membership is for people who actually play here — current hour requirements are posted in the Discord application channel.
  • No multi-clanning. Members represent one Squad community: this one. If you wear another clan's tag, you'd need to retire it.
  • Good standing. Your history on our servers and Discord is part of the application — the rules you've been playing under are the ones you'd be representing.

How it works

  1. Apply in Discord. The application lives in the membership channels — it's a conversation, not a form-letter gauntlet.
  2. Probationary period — the ☆CMD tag. New members wear[☆CMD] while they and the community confirm the fit. Probation is about consistency, conduct, and participation — not performance stats.
  3. Full membership — the ★CMD tag. Probation complete, you take the[★CMD] tag with the rank structure that comes with it.

Wearing either tag without being a member falls under the impersonation rule (Rule 10).

What members get

  • The tag, and everything it signals on the server
  • Member channels, votes, and a real say in community decisions
  • Member programs — including statistics tracking currently in development on the roadmap
  • Member events (the first IRL meetup is on the roadmap, too)
  • Priority consideration for community roles — event staff, mentors, admin track

What members explicitly don't get: gameplay advantages or immunity. The rules bind members hardest of all — the tag makes you the example.

What's expected

  • Play the way the tag promises: comms on, squad-first, welcoming to new players
  • Stay active — membership is participation, not a trophy
  • Represent Command Squad well on other servers and communities
  • Help the community run: seed when you can, vote when asked, speak up constructively
