Support Command Squad
Command Squad is a community project, not a business — independently funded and maintained. Support is always optional, and the most valuable kinds don't cost a cent. For those who want to help fund the infrastructure, those options are here too, with a hard rule attached: support never buys gameplay advantage.
Support by playing
Consistent seeding is what turns a "dead server" into a full match. It's the single highest-impact way anyone can support this community:
- Seed the servers when the call goes out — consistent, reliable seeding can earn whitelist access (evaluated by staff on pattern over time, not single sessions).
- Squad lead — every match needs six to ten volunteers.
- Welcome and mentor new players — it's how the community grows.
- Show up to events and bring a friend who fits the culture.
- Report issues responsibly and give constructive feedback on the roadmap.
Support via Patreon
Monthly support that keeps the lights predictable — hosting, licensing, moderation tooling, and development. Applicable tiers include whitelisting (reserved queue slot). Perks are recognition-based, not power-based.
One-time support
A one-off contribution — PayPal, Venmo, or card, no subscription. No gameplay perks attached; it simply helps fund stability, tooling, and the roadmap. Small or large, it all helps.
What support funds
- Server infrastructure — top-tier hosting for two full-time 98-slot servers plus an event server
- Licensing and compliance — operating as a licensed Squad community
- Moderation and community tooling — admin tools, Community Ban List integration, seeding automation, the Discord bot ecosystem
- Website and services — this site, the Play site (external link), and player statistics in development
- Events and giveaways — including monthly seeder recognition
- Long-term development — the roadmap is the public ledger of where investment goes
Support FAQ
Do I have to donate to play here?
No. Support is optional. Playing the objective, using comms, helping new players, and seeding are some of the most valuable contributions to Command Squad.
Is this pay-to-win?
No. Command Squad does not sell gameplay advantages. Support options focus on access and recognition — not power. Rules apply equally to everyone.
What does financial support fund?
Server hosting and performance infrastructure, licensing, moderation tooling, and ongoing development that improves stability and match quality. See the Support page for the breakdown.
Can I make a one-time contribution instead of a subscription?
Yes — one-time support with no commitment is available at donate.commandsquad.net, alongside monthly support via Patreon. Both are listed on the Support page.
Support is optional. The mission is the same: coordination, comms, and strong leadership. Come play (external link) — that's the part that matters.
