Accessibility statement
This site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Gaming communities are for everyone; community websites should be too.
What that means in practice
- Every page and feature works with a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators
- Content is structured with proper landmarks and headings for screen readers, and a skip link on every page
- All content and navigation work without JavaScript — scripts only add enhancements like live server status and filters
- Text meets AA contrast ratios against our dark theme, and information is never conveyed by color alone
- The layout reflows down to 320px-wide viewports and supports 200%–400% zoom without horizontal scrolling
- Motion is minimal and respects the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting; nothing flashes or autoplays - Embedded videos never load third-party content until you activate them, and each is accompanied by written key takeaways
- Touch targets are sized generously (approximately 44px) for motor accessibility
Testing
The site is tested with automated tooling (axe-core against WCAG 2.2 AA rules, on every code change) plus manual keyboard, zoom, reflow, and forced-colors passes. Automated testing can't catch everything, which is why the next section exists.
Found a problem?
If any part of this site is hard to use with assistive technology — or anything else — please tell us in the Discord (external link) (a general support ticket reaches the site maintainers). Accessibility reports are treated as bugs, not suggestions: they get fixed.
Scope
This statement covers commandsquad.net. The Play site (external link) is built to the same standard. External services we link to (Discord, Patreon, YouTube, BattleMetrics) have their own accessibility practices we don't control.
